A burglary suspect evading arrest for three (3) months was apprehended by members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) in the Verulam CBD – KZN.
A businessman from Everest Heights – KZN contacted the RUSA Operations Centre requesting assistance after he spotted the suspect walking on Ireland Street. Reaction Officers were immediately dispatched and apprehended the male.
According to the complainant, the suspect gained entry into a warehouse and stolen meat in July 2023. The incident was captured on CCTV and was viewed by Reaction Officers. A criminal case was registered but the evasive burglar could not be located.
The suspect was placed under arrest and detained at SAPS Verulam.
