A 21 year old Malawian national was critically injured after he was shot in the head in Mhlasini – KZN this afternoon (Sunday).
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were called out to the scene at approximately 20:02. On arrival, the victim was located on the road bleeding excessively from a gunshot wound to his head. According to residents, they heard a single shot being fired shortly before they located the victim in a pool of blood. He was expedited to hospital by his brother.
The motive for the shooting could not be established.
