Man Shot For Walking With Females: Redcliffe – KZN

A 23-year-old man was shot while walking with two females on Quarry Road in Redcliffe – KZN this afternoon (Saturday).

Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) arrived on scene at approximately 16:39 and discovered the victim lying on the side of the road. He sustained a gunshot wound to his abdomen.

The bullet exited his back and struck his right arm.

The victim informed Reaction Officers that he was walking with two females he had just met. They were proceeding to Mhlasini – KZN when they were confronted by the gunman. The suspect allegedly questioned the man as to why he was walking with his friend’s girlfriend. He then produced a firearm and shot him. Both females fled on foot while the suspect allegedly boarded a white Toyota Quantum believed to be a mini bus taxi. The victim was stabilised on scene before being transported to hospital by ambulance.

This is the third shooting Reaction Officers attended to in Verulam – KZN in the past 24 hours.
