The Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police (EMPD) Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) arrested a suspect who was found with two unlicensed firearms and ammunition in Buhle Park, in the Boksburg area.
DEU Officers received information about the location of a suspect, who was alleged to be in possession of multiple unlicensed firearms, in the Buhle Park area. Upon receiving the information, the Officers proceeded to a residence on Lex Street where the suspect was said to reside.
On arrival, they found a 54-year-old South African male in possession of an unlicensed Star Pistol and Revolver, both with intact serial numbers, four (4) live rounds of ammunition and two (2) magazines, which were immediately confiscated and booked in at the Boksburg police station.
The suspect was arrested and detained at the Boksburg police station, charged with the possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition, and will appear at the Boksburg court soon.
