Police have launched a manhunt for the whereabouts of a Regional Court Magistrate and her husband, who have been missing from Heilbron since this morning.
It is alleged that on Thursday 21 September 2023, the Regional Court Magistrate Mamello Thamae (40) arrived at her home in Heilbron.
The morning of 21 September 2023 at about 04:00, it is alleged that the car left the premises.
The cellphone and clothes of her husband, Lehlohonolo Maketoane (40), appear to be missing. Her clothes and cellphone are still at home.
The vehicle which they are suspected to have left with is a silver Kia Sportage with registration number HYT 809 FS and there is a strong suspicion that the vehicle drove through the Ficksburg Port of Entry into Lesotho.
We appeal to anyone with information about the whereabouts of the Magistrate and her husband to contact the Station Commander of Heilbron, Lieutenant Colonel MJ Mokheti, on cellphone number 082 525 2303.
