Roads affected by the DSTV Premiership match between Orlando Pirates FC and Mamelodi Sundowns FC in Orlando, Soweto

Motorists are advised to be aware of traffic disruptions around Orlando Stadium today for the DSTV Premiership match today between Orlando Pirates FC and Mamelodi Sundowns FC in Orlando, Soweto.

Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department (JMPD) officers will be deployed to ensure the free flow of traffic around Orlando Stadium and to ensure the safety of all road users.

The following routes will be affected:

N17, Soweto Highway, Klipspruit Valley Road, Martha Louw Street and Mooki Street.
Road closures will be implemented at 16h00.

Road closures will be implemented on:

Mooki Street between Soweto Highway and Martha Louw Street. Also, expect closures at Martha Louw and Armitage Street and on Martha Louw Street between Klipspruit Valley Road and Mooki Street.
All the road closures and diversions will be lifted at half-time.

The following alternative routes can be used in the affected areas:

From Mooki Street motorists can use Nkom Ya Hlaba and Adams Street, Masupa and Adams Street. Motorists can also use Soweto Highway and Klipspruit Valley Road.

N17 and Klipspruit Valley Road will be converted into three lanes travelling towards the stadium before the match and three lanes leaving the stadium after the match.

Residents and members of the public are urged to exercise patience for the duration of the match.
We are appealing for road users to acquaint themselves with the traffic management for the day so they can plan their routes accordingly.
