The Fezile Dabi District Vehicle Crime Investigation Unit seek public assistance in tracing three wanted persons after they have failed to appear in court.
The first suspect is Dean Swanepoel (24). He has a tattoo with the word “Dronkgat” on his arm. The suspect is from Vanderbijilpark in Gauteng, and he was arrested on 13 February 2023 for theft of a motor vehicle. Dean was then granted bail and his last court appearance was 12 April 2023 when he failed to show up to appear in court.
The second suspect is a 24-year-old African male, Nelson Mlungisi Colephi, from Tumahole. The suspect was arrested in 2018 for theft of a motor vehicle and was later granted bail. The suspect made his last court appearance in January 2019. Since then, he has not shown up for court. He also has hijacking, attempted murder, kidnapping and rape cases pending against him.
The third suspect is a 37-year-old African male, Sizwe Dlamini, from Orange Farm Extension 3. The suspect was arrested for hijacking and was later granted bail. He made his last court appearance in May 2023.
The whereabouts of these three suspects are still unknown and the police request that anyone who may know these suspects or their whereabouts, to contact Detective Sergeant Thomas Kobo on 076 791 5740.
