Couple arrested with possession of drugs worth over R150 000

Joint operation led to success where drugs were seized to the value of over R150 000.

Various role players, including Fidelity SIU, executed a search warrant at a premises in Phoenix. On entering the heavily fortified premises, it was evident that some suspects had fled the scene during the breaching of the premises.

During the search, members received information from an informant that a suspect had fled the premises and stored the drugs in a neighbouring premises linked to the suspect. The team proceeded to the second address, where the owner was questioned and a search conducted.

The search resulted in the recovery of a black plastic packet containing drugs, including heroin, cocaine and mandrax.

A couple were found to be storing the drugs and were subsequently arrested.
