Four suspects aged between 37 and 67 were arrested by members of the Hawks’ Serious Organised Crime Investigation, Crime Intelligence and K9 Benoni for possession of a pangolin in Mondeor on 06 November 2023.
The suspects were arrested at Bassonia Shopping Centre after the team followed up on information and found the quartet in possession of a pangolin.
They will make their first appearance before the Booysens Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, 08 November 2023 for contravention of the National Environmental Management Biodiversity Act 10 of 2004.
