Life sentence for Prieska murder accused

SAPS Management in the Northern Cape welcomes the life sentences handed down to three men for murder and attempted murder in Prieska.

On 06 June 2021 Anele Tseke, Vumisani Tseku and Phumlani Faku all aged 33, entered a tavern in Prieska armed with knives, pangas and spears and attacked two men.

The victims were purchasing alcohol when they were attacked and severely wounded by the three men.

Mzingisi Nonzanga succumbed to his wounds in hospital while Asandile Konco survived the brutal attack.

The three accused were arrested two days later.

The accused were sentenced to life imprisonment for murder and 10 years for the attempted murder.

The District Commissioner for Pixley Ka Seme, Maj Gen Nomana Mtukushe lauds D/Sgt Bayron Gallant for his meticulous investigation skills, loyalty and commitment that led to this outstanding sentence.
