The Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department (EMPD) Community Liaison Unit (CLU) members recovered a reported robbed/hijacked Isuzu Light Delivery Vehicle (LDV), left unattended, in a residential area.

While on patrol around the Villa Lisa area near Vosloorus, Officers drove into a hysterical male pedestrian, who alleged that he was robbed an LDV in Bloemfontein by two cars, a BMW, and the Ford Ranger. Suddenly, he was robbed in the Vaal area and dropped off, on the N3 freeway next to Vosloorus.

The crime fighting Unit, took time and listen attentively to the complainant, while busy tracking down the alleged robbed/hijacked silver/grey Isuzu D-Max LDV. A reliable source, came in handy and Officers, were directed to a building on Giraffe Street where an Isuzu LDV matching the description of the wanted, was seen parked in a yard. Officers responded and the bakkie in question, was found abandoned on the given address and there was no one, to answer.

The lost and found LDV was taken to the Dawn Park police station and at a later stage, it will be transferred to Aero ton police yard, for safekeeping. The relieved liable owner confirmed that the vehicle belongs to him, and he was very pleased, at Officers work.

No arrests effected yet and the South African Police Service (SAPS) Members, are busy with investigations.
