Response officer robbed of firearm in Redcliffe

A Response Officer employed at a Private Security Company based in Durban – KZN was robbed of his firearm by two men attempting to rob a tuck shop in an area popularly known as Sandpit in Redcliffe – KZN.

Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) received a call for assistance. On arrival, Reaction Officers interviewed the victim who stated that he driving past when he noticed two males attempting to rob a tuck shop.

He stopped his Isuzu bakkie and attempted to apprehend them. The robbers produced a knife and robbed him of his firearm.
During further questioning, the victim stated that the pistol was a blank gun.

Officers concluded an extensive search for the suspects but no arrests were made.
