The commitment of an Upington Rural Safety member was commended for the successful recovery of the solar panels that were reported stolen at a farm on Monday, 20 November 2023.
The member attended a complaint of theft, and conducted the preliminary investigation that led to the arrest of a farm worker.
The solar panels to the value of R8, 000.00 were discovered buried at the farm and was later returned to the owner.
The 38-year-old farm worker is in custody for theft and is expected to appear in court soon.
