Suspects arrested for conspiracy to commit robbery and possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition in Fleurhof

Three male suspects were arrested by the Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department (JMPD) K9 Unit for conspiracy to commit robbery and possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition in Fleurhof.

On Tuesday, 31 October 2023, officers received information on suspects who were planning to rob a business in Soweto. The suspects were said to be wanted on multiple murder and robbery cases.

The information given to the operational team indicated that the suspects had requested e-hailing services to rob the business.

The suspects were spotted in Hillbrow and they were followed by the officers until they were intercepted on Main Reef Road in Fleurhof.

The suspects were searched and three unlicensed firearms and ammunition were found in their possession.

The suspects were immediately placed under arrest and they were detained at Florida SAPS. They are due to appear in due course.
