Manhunt launched for Polokwane house robbery suspects

The police in Polokwane have launched a manhunt for two suspects who committed a house robbery in Polokwane City in the early hours of Thursday, 30 November 2023 at about 04:00.

According to the information received, the couple was awakened by their son’s frightening screams from his room and the father rushed to see what was happening. He was met by two intruders who demanded cash and other valuables. The suspects stabbed the father with a screwdriver and hit him with a bold cutter. They also stabbed his wife and son, and made off with a laptop and cellphone.

Police have opened a case of house robbery and attempted murder. There are no arrests yet.

The Provincial Commissioner of police in Limpopo, Lieutenant General, Thembi Hadebe has ordered the Police to moblise all resources at their disposal in a bid to apprehend the suspects. “A multi-disciplinary team has been assigned to ensure that investigations are expedited to ultimately bring the suspects to book to face the full might of the law,” said Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe.

Police appeal to anyone with information that can lead to the apprehension of the suspects involved in the robbery to contact Investigating Officer Sergeant Baloyi on 082 214 3948 or Crime Stop number 08600 10111 or the nearest Police Station or use MySAPS App.
