The executive authority as normally would stop where traffic officers are on duty enforcing the law. The MEC on her way to Ladybrand stopped at the roadblock to check traffic officials and their work.
While at the roadblock, a vehicle was stopped by one traffic official and the following issues were picked up:
1. The vehicle disc expired in 2022
2. Tyres worn out
3. The vehicle had overload of passengers
The vehicle impound and the MEC warns all motorists not to take chances by driving cars that are not roadworthy and overload passengers and they are expected to comply with the laws of the road.
