The vigilance and swift response from members attached to POP Faure led to the arrest of two suspects, a man aged 27 and a woman aged 28, on charges of dealing and possession of drugs.
According to reports, on Monday 04 December 2023 at about 21:45, members were busy with patrols in Mfenyane Street, Nyanga when they received information about drug dealings at a premises in N130.
They immediately responded by proceeding to the identified address and upon arrival found the two suspects in possession of five sealed packets containing 670 units of mandrax weighing approximately 2kg each and an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspects were arrested and detained at Gugulethu SAPS.
They are scheduled to appear in the Athlone Magistrates’ Court today 06 December 2023.
