Two lawbreakers nabbed for possession and possible dealing in illicit substances in the Brakpan and Tsakane areas

The Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department (EMPD) Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) Officers, intercepted a 28 and the 46-year-old male suspects where narcotics, were seized.

Acting on a tip off from a reliable source, EMPD Officers received information about a male character, selling drugs openly to the members of the public. A house on Victoria Street, was visited and a house occupant, was searched.

Officers uncovered seventy-three (73) ziplocks of Khat and seven (7) ziplocks of crystal meth, valued at twelve thousand rand (R12 000). The handcuffed suspect was marched to Brakpan police station. Meanwhile at Manzimtoti street in Langaville extension 4, in the Tsakane area, a 46-year-old was cornered with one (1) and a half star mandrax tablet, valued at one hundred rands (R100) and seventy rands (R70) in cash.

The pair, facing charges of ‘possession and possible dealing in illicit substance’ are expected to appear in the Brakpan and Tsakane Magistrate’s Court soon.
