Efforts to curb the presence of various crimes in our communities continue to yield successful outcomes following joint high-density #OperationShanela executed by Ekurhuleni SAPS members, EMPD, Gauteng Traffic, CPF, Home Affairs and other law enforcement agencies in Ekurhuleni Policing precincts from Friday, 08 December 2023 in the afternoon until Sunday, 10 December 2023 in the morning.
A total of 415 suspects were nabbed for committing various offences while three unlicensed firearms were removed from the streets and three illegal liquor outlets were shut down.
