A 35-year-old suspect was remanded in custody after his brief appearance at the Hendrina Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, 02 January 2024 after his arrest for possession of reportedly stolen vehicle.
On Saturday, 30 December 2023, the vehicle was intercepted on the R38 Road from Middleburg towards Hendrina subsequent to members of the police from Middleburg Flying Squad received a tip-off about a motor vehicle that was reported stolen at Sinoville in December 2023.
The matter was postponed to Friday, 05 January 2024 where he is expected to make a formal bail application. For now the suspect remained in custody.
