A female was shot during an attempted robbery at her home in Inanda – KZN.
Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) received a call from the victim’s relative.
According to the caller, they received information that their relative and her two daughters were being held hostage by unknown men at the residence in an area known as New Houses.
Reaction Officers were immediately dispatched and on arrival, it was established that two males confronted the female and demanded her cellphone.
She attempted locking her door when the suspects opened fire. The female was shot one on her hip.
The suspects thereafter fled. The victim was transported privately to hospital.
Three spent 9mm cartridges were recovered at the scene.
