Recovering gunshot victim robbed in Amoutana

A 22-year-old Ethiopian national recovering from a gunshot injury was robbed for the second time in two days at his business premises.

Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were called out to a tuck shop on the corner of Fana Khumal Street & Zondi Way in Amoutana – KZN after receiving reports of the robbery.

On arrival, the victim explained that three men entered the shipping container and robbed him of cash, cellphones and cigarettes. They also fled in his white Nissan NP 200 bakkie.

Reaction Officers conducted an extensive search and recovered the bakkie abandoned in Amouti – KZN.

Officers attended a robbery at the same store on Monday.

The victim was shot on his leg during the incident.
