Medics were kept on their toes during this year’s Kavady Procession throughout the Newlands West, Phoenix And Verulam areas.
With the blistering heat and no water in the area, multiple people were treated for dehydration during these times. Water sponsors and other refreshments were made available to the communities.
No fatalities were reported or serious injuries.
