Suspects to appear in court for possession of stolen vehicle and drugs

Members of the Maitland Flying Squad were busy with patrols in Woodstock area when a Renault made a u-turn in front of them.

They decided to pull the vehicle over, searched it and upon for investigation it was established that the vehicle was stolen in Mitchell’s Plain. Two adult males were arrested and detained.

In an unrelated intervention members of Operation Restore were busy with crime prevention duties in identified hotspot areas in Kraaifontein on Sunday evening. The members gathered information of drugs that are at a premises in Grootboom Street, Wallacedene and searched the identified premises.

They confiscated a consignment of drugs consisting of mandrax tablets, crystal meth and an undisclosed of cash. A 49 year old man was arrested on a charge of dealing in drugs.

The suspects will make their respective court appearances in the Cape Town and Blue Downs Magistrates courts once they have been charged.
