The South African Police Services (SAPS) at Verulam – Kwazulu Natal have arrested two suspects for the attack on a Police Detective in the Central Business District.
Two suspects attacked and robbed an Off- Duty Police Officer on Wick Street – Verulam. Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) responded to the emergency call at 16:30 yesterday.
This morning Police Officers arrested one of the attackers and a second male who had purchased the stolen Nokia mobile phone. The identity and images of both suspects cannot be made public at this stage.
Detectives at Verulam SAPS are requesting that victims of robberies and stabbings that occured in the CBD to come forward. The suspects in custody could be linked to various criminal cases.
