Bomb scare at Palmview Primary School

Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were dispatched to Palmview Primary School in Palmview – KZN after administration staff received two telephonic bomb threats.

Reaction Officers & RUSA Paramedics arrived at the premises and met with Police Officials from SAPS Phoenix.

According to a school employee, two calls were received minutes apart from a male stating that an explosive device was placed on the premises.

RUSA Members, Police and Educators immediately evacuated learners to the assembly area.

The SAPS Explosives Unit arrived shortly thereafter and conducted an extensive search of the premises.
No explosives were located.
