A man was shot during a hijacking in Mhlasini – KZN this afternoon (Tuesday).
The victim was transported to Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) HQ at approximately 19:41. He sustained a gunshot wound to his left leg. The man informed Reaction Officers that he was seated in the white Toyota Quantum with registration BB18KZ-ZN when two unknown males approached his vehicle and opened fire on him. They forced him out of the mini and robbed him off his cellphone. They thereafter sped off in an unknown direction.
Reaction Officers conducted an extensive search for the vehicle without success.
