Enforcement activities conducted in the Bloemfontein CBD

Premier Mxolisi Dukwana, Deputy Njabulo Nzuza, MEC MaQueen Letsoha-Mathae, Provincial Commissioner General Motswenyane, Mayor of Mangaung Cllr Gregory Nthatisi and Speaker Cllr Lawrence Mathae embark on operations in Bloemfontein CBD.

In early hours of today, the executive authorities embarked on operations in Bloemfontein CBD on the following areas: Flats in Alexander road,

Shops close to the Taxi Rank, Old Post office and taxi rank.

The following were the achievements of the operation:

– Total arrested 73 undocumented foreign nationals.
– Illegal ECD was closed down.
– Crystal Meth and Tick (Drugs to the value of R2500 was confiscated)
– Illicit cigarettes at the taxi-rank were also confiscated.
– Expired goods where found in the shops of foreign nationals.

Vehicles with no permit:6
Contrary= 4 lmv
Expired license disc:3
Driving without PDP:2
Discontinued vehicles 4
Total cases written:20
Lesotho hand written PDP confiscated:1,
3 copies( adhoc in confiscated and 1 original without signature).

The stakeholders that participated on the operation are SAPS, Immigration unit, Private Security (Bloem Sec), SARS and Destea Consumer protection unit.

The MEC emphasized that everyone who live in South Africa has to abide the laws of the country and failure to do so, the law enforcement must enforce the law without any hesitation.
