On Saturday morning Emer-G-Med paramedics responded to the scene of a serious motor vehicle collision at the intersection of the R55 and Lochner Road in Centurion.
On arrival on scene two vehicles were found to have collided.
Closer inspection found the driver of one vehicle, a female aged in her late twenties, severely entrapped with critical injuries.
Several advanced life support intervention methods were needed to stabilize her whilst she was cut free using the Jaws-of-life.
Once free she was airlifted by the Netcare911 aeromedical helicopter to a specialist facility for the definitive care that she required.
