Multiple shots were fired at a family during a hijacking and home invasion on Ginger Grove in Brindhaven – KZN.
Four armed suspects in a white VW Polo (registration unknown) confronted the homeowner on his driveway.
His driveway gate and garage door were ajar due to load shedding.
The robbers demanded the keys to his white VW Polo with registration ND 822 882 before they attempted entering the house. The man’s wife and seven-month-old daughter were in the residence.
The victim fled into the house and shut a security gate. The robbers fired five (5) shots before they fled in his vehicle.
Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) received multiple calls from neighbours after the shots were fired. Reaction Officers were immediately dispatched arrived on scene at approximately 08:23.
The victims were traumatised but not injured. Several bullets struck the house during the incident.
Five spent 9mm cartridges were recovered at the scene.
