Following a tip-off from members of the public about a vehicle transporting drugs on Tuesday morning, 13 February 2024, a suspected drug dealer was arrested and a substantial amount of drugs were seized.
The members of Milnerton police operationalised the tip-off and initiated a stop and search operation when they spotted the vehicle in Koeberg Road in Brooklyn. Upon searching the vehicle the members found 357 small packets containing cocaine in the vehicle.
The members also proceeded and searched the suspect’s place of residence where they found a further 153 packets of CAT and an undisclosed amount of cash in the house, believed to be the proceeds of crime.
A 34-year-old suspect was arrested for dealing in drugs and is scheduled to appear in the Cape Town Magistrates’ court once he has been charged.
