We inform all road-users that a sinkhole erupted on the Philipstown to Petrusville (R48/3) road at the 13.9 kilometer mark.
The Department relinquished this road to SANRAL Soc Ltd. on 2 November 2022.
Currently, only one lane is closed, while a stop and go traffic control system is instituted.
Tomorrow, Friday 1 March 2024, both lanes will be closed due to repair work.
Please reduce your speed when approaching the stop and go traffic control system. Be cautious and vigilant.
