Suspect arrested for vehicle jamming and theft from vehicles

The Fidelity Business Intelligence Centre (FBIC) received information on a black Jaguar SUV involved in vehicle jamming and theft out of motor vehicles (laptops) at Woolworths Lifestyle Crossing, Little Falls.

An analysis was done by the FBIC on the LPR cameras and it was noted that the vehicle was using cloned plates. The FBIC also noticed the vehicle was moving towards Northlands Corner Shopping Centre in Northriding.

Upon arrival at the shopping centre, one of the ground members got eyes on the vehicle. Three complainants had reported that their Polo’s remotes were jammed. The vehicle was recovered, and one suspect was successfully detained. Breaking implements and signal jammers were also recovered.

A big shout out to all involved including our team at Fidelity, SAPS Morningside and all other role[players involved.
