members of Muizenberg police were performing crime prevention duties in the Hillview area when they heard the sound of gunshots going off in close proximity.
They traced the sound and with the help of the community managed to get a description of the suspects who were alleged to be the shooters. The members saw the suspects fitting the description and gave chase. The suspects were apprehended and a 9mm pistol with 29 rounds of ammunition were confiscated.
The two suspects aged 22 and 23 will appear in the Simon’s Town Magistrates court on Monday, 19 February 2024.
