A 32-year-old was arrested for fraud charges in Boksburg

The Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department (EMPD), Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU), arrested a suspect facing fraud charges in the Boksburg area.

While officers were patrolling on Reservoir road, they stopped a White VolksWagen Golf Hatch Back, with only a male driver as the occupant. Officers approached the vehicle, introduced themselves and proceeded to conducting a search.

During the search, Officers also noticed a suspicious license disc, which they consulted with the control room to check its validation. It was discovered that the license disc was fraudulent.

The 32-year-old was arrested and taken to Boksburg Police Station, facing charges of fraud. He is expected to appear at the Boksburg Magistrate’s Court soon.
