A stolen vehicle was recovered and one suspect arrested in Benoni

the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department (EMPD) Bronberg Precinct Officers, recovered a stolen red and silver Toyota Condor and a 38-year-old male suspect was arrested for possession of a stolen motor vehicle, in the Benoni area.

EMPD officers received information from a reliable source about a stolen vehicle, that was stolen in the Tsakane area. The information was followed up and a red and silver Toyota Condor matching the same description given with its registration plate intact was recovered on Vlei and Uys Road in Rynfield.

A male suspect was found occupying the seat of the driver and as he was asked why the vehicle was in his possession, he could not explain.

The suspect was detained at Benoni police station free from any injuries and the vehicle was taken Aeroton pound by Ekurhuleni towing.
