Female killed in a collision on the R102 in Palmview

A female was killed in a collision at the R102/Palmview – KZN robots last night.

Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) arrived on scene at approximately 22:34 and discovered Emergency Services in attendance. Paramedics from a private ambulance service and Firefighters were in the process of extracting entrapped occupants of a red VW Golf.

The Jaws Of Life were utilised to free the injured from the wreckage. A female in the vehicle was fatally injured and pronounced deceased at the scene. Three occupants of a silver Toyota Fortuner were being treated for injuries they sustained.

It was alleged that the Toyota Fortuner was turning into Phoenix – KZN from Ottawa – KZN and the VW Golf was travelling in the opposite direction when they collided at the intersection.
