Man goes missing after he went in search for his father in Mozambique

Police are looking for Rethabile Mokhako (28), who was reported missing by his wife.

The couple is staying in St Helena in Welkom and Mr Mokhako left home to look for his father in Mozambique. The last time his wife heard from him was on 1 March 2024 at about 21:00, when he informed her that he had arrived at the Limbobo border of South Africa and Mozambique. Both his cellphones have been off since then.

He was traveling with his white BMW with registration number FF 50 KC GP and he was wearing black Fabian Sporty, white shorts, a white Raw t-shirt, and black slippers. Tracker service confirmed that the vehicle crossed the border towards Mozambique on the 01 March 2024.

A Missing Persons File was registered for further investigation. Should anyone have information to trace the missing person, Welkom Police Station at 079 886 5574, Crime Stop number 08600 10111 or share information via the MySAPS app anonymously.
