Suspects arrested for possession of unlicensed firearms and robbery in the Ilembe District

An intelligence-driven operation was conducted by the members of the Ilembe District Crime Intelligence, Fidelity SIU and other security partners.

This was linked to business robbery/house robbery under the KwaDukuza and Umhlali policing areas. A male residing in Velani Township was arrested for possession of unlicensed firearms and unlawful possession of live ammunition.

Another male residing at Tinley Manor was arrested for house robbery. Various exhibits were also seized that were used in committing the crimes. Both suspects were detained at the Umhlali SAPS.
