A man who stopped along the R102 near Canelands – KZN to urinate was hijacked for his white Toyota Yaris during the early hours of this morning (Sunday).
The victim was accosted by three (3) males while urinating. One (1) suspect produced a firearm and robbed him of his valuables before forcing him into the boot. They drove a short distance before they dumped him on the roadside. The victim sought assistance from a nearby business premises at approximately 01:32.
An intense search was conducted but the vehicle was not immediately recovered. Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) on patrol in Canelands – KZN recovered the car abandoned on Larson Road at approximately 06:36.
Three tyres & rims, the battery and sound system were stolen.
