Victim pleads with gunman not to execute her in Verulam CBD

A woman pleaded for life after a robber threatened to shoot her execution style during a business robbery in the Verulam CBD – KZN.

Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were called out to a funeral parlour on George Sewpersad Street.

The 37-year-old female victim informed Reaction Officers that a man entered the business and enquired about funeral policies.

He thereafter produced a firearm and robbed her of cash and a Samsung cellphone. She was then asked to kneel on the floor. The suspect placed his firearm against her head and asked her to count to five. The woman pleaded with him not to shoot her. The robber then fled the premises in an unknown direction.

The victim was traumatised but not injured.
