Reaction Officers were standing off with the driver of the taxi who was dumped in Canelands – KZN. The victim informed Officers that he loaded passengers in Durban Central – KZN.
After dropping off a commuter in Redhill – KZN, his eight remaining passengers produced firearms and instructed him to lay on the floor.
One of the men thereafter drove the vehicle to Canelands – KZN. They assaulted the driver and dumped him on the side of the road before they sped off towards Cottonlands – KZN. The victim sought assistance from a nearby resident who contacted the RUSA Operations Center.
