A 40-year-old man was shot in the head while attempting to apprehend two robbery suspects in Hilltop – KZN.
Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) received multiple calls from the community requesting urgent medical assistance for the victim. Reaction Officers & RUSA Paramedics were immediately dispatched.
On arrival at approximately 08:01, a large crowd was discovered standing around the injured male. It was established that two suspects robbed a man of his valuables at gunpoint opposite the Cottonwood Drive, Trenance Park – KZN.
Members of the community who witnessed the incident attempted to apprehend the gunmen as they made their getaway on foot towards Hilltop – KZN. One person was shot in the head after he intercepted the robbers.
He was stabilised on scene before being expedited to hospital by ambulance.
