The decomposing body of a 53 year old Traditional Healer was discovered hanging in his home in Mawothi – KZN.
A resident contacted Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) after they made the discovery during a wellness check. RUSA Members were immediately dispatched and found a crowd gathered outside the house.
A pungent smell emanated from the home. Upon investigation, an extensively body was located hanging by a rope tied to a wooden rafter.
The house and a kitchen next to the main building were ransacked. A window leading into the house was broken and the burglar bars were forced in. The deceased was last seen approximately two weeks ago.
Investigation will be conducted to establish if the victim was murdered or committed suicide.
