Poisoned food blamed for biker’s collapse in Ottawa

A 23 year old Zimbabwean National has been expedited to hospital from a complex in Ottawa – KZN.

Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) received a call from private security provider Project 360 who requested immediate assistance after a man was discovered lying on the ground. The delivery biker informed First Responders that his ex-work colleague had poisoned a pie that he had consumed earlier. He then became incoherent and was expedited to hospital by Paramedics.

According to the man’s sister who works at the complex, her brother rode in from his home in Verulam – KZN screaming that he was about to die. Before his collapse he informed her that he was given a pie by his ex-work colleague who insisted he consumes it while it was warm. A few minutes later he became violently ill and immediately proceeded to his sister’s place of employment for assistance.

He became unresponsive and experienced multiple seizures before Reaction Officers and Paramedics could gather further information.
