VIP Medics Together with Multiple Law Enforcement agencies and community members rushed to the north of Durban where it’s believed a tornado ripped through Tongaat towards LA Mercy and surrounding areas.
KZNVIP Deployed 4 Ambulance and Medics together with Reaction Officers to provide aid to anyone who required. Approximately 10 people were treated and transported to medical facilities by VIP Medics and in another report by a local service provider it is believed 2 people where killed following structural collapses in the area.
A family sought assistance for assistance to remove a family member who is bedridden and was unable to seek safe accommodation in the area following the storm which left the victims home in shambles. Vip Medics managed to remove the patient and transported to a family members home.
There’s been a wide spread power outage and also network issues to members who are working in the area
Roadway getting to and from have been affected but all hands on deck by stakeholders who are attempting to recover from this traumatizing event.
