A Community Policing Forum (CPF) Patroller who was in the vicinity of the Licensing Office/Farmers Market in the Verulam CBD – KZN was the victim of an attempted robbery today (Monday).
The victim contacted Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) seeking assistance after a lone suspect robbed him of his cellphone. A scuffle ensued and the phone fell to the ground. The suspect then fled in a white VW Polo (registration unknown).
The public are cautioned to be on high alert in the vicinity of the Verulam Farmers Market. The car guards could not be located at the time of the incident.
Reaction Officers have responded to twelve incidents in the past two (2) weeks (01-15 July 2024).
