Medical emergency at a residential home in Henley on Klip, Meyerton

Wednesday afternoon at around 16:15, our Vaal crew responded to a medical emergency at a residential home in Henley on Klip, Meyerton.

Upon arrival, our crew found a Basic Life Support medic had initiated CPR on the patient, an elderly man, in cardiac arrest.

After several minutes of advanced cardiac life support, the patient had a return of spontaneous circulation and was swiftly transported to a nearby hospital in a critical condition.

Thanks to the swift response and valiant efforts to resuscitate the patient by the off duty medic, our crew, and ER24, they could obtain the return of spontaneous circulation.

Thanks to ER24 EMS (Pty) Ltd. for assistance on the scene.
