The body of a 26-year-old female was discovered on an unpaved road in Amaoti – KZN.
Residents contacted the Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) Operations Centre for assistance at approximately 08:32. On arrival, Reaction Officers discovered the lifeless body of the female in a pool of blood. Her underwear and sandals were located approximately 50 meters away from her body.
It was alleged that the deceased was consuming alcohol with a friend last night (Thursday). Her friend walked her back to her boyfriend’s house and left her on the driveway before returning to home.
It appeared as if the deceased had been dragged several metres from her boyfriend’s yard before being stabbed. The drag marks were visible on the unpaved road.
It could not be confirmed if she was raped.
The South African Police Service (SAPS) are investigating further.
