A joint operation between Fidelity ADT and SAPS leads to the successful arrest of armed robbery suspects as well as the recovery of the firearm.
Last night, shortly after 11:30 pm, two suspects robbed patrons of their personal belongings at a lodge on Joe Slovo Road in the Durban central area. First responders who arrived on the scene established the description of the suspects and set out in search of them.
One of the two suspects was spotted running on Soldiers’ way, heading towards Bram Fisher, a short chase ensued, and he was apprehended by our response officer. A Glock 17 that was used in the commission of the crime was found in the suspect’s possession.
It is alleged that the other suspect fled on foot and managed to evade arrest. Durban central SAPS were on the scene, and the single suspect remains in their custody pending further investigation.
